Caitlin Pierce: Laptop, I’m embarrassed to say.
Anna Cave: Olive isn’t an object, but she’d be first… followed closely by my prescriptions and the ashes of my previous dog, Beep.
What small upgrade improved your daily life more than expected?
CP: Unless I have something scheduled before 10am, I don’t set an alarm.
AC: Drinking bone broth with protein powder, a squeeze of lemon, and a pinch of salt in the morning. It feels like i’m giving my body a gift first-thing.
Your current favorite smell?
CP: Bay leaf.
AC: Jasmine on warm evening walks.
Are you minimalist, maximalist, or emotionalist?
CP: Minimalist.
AC: Minimalist with a pinch of emotionalist.
Or, at least the standouts: aforementioned Taqueria Frontera tacos that blew my mind | Loquat’s Mascarpone foam coffee creation | vodka sauce with shrimp linguine | hyper fixation lunch of pita stuffed with mortadella, provolone, and salad with LOTS of peperoncini | chip mountain and deviled eggs for an indoor picnic | a dreamy dinner at Queens Raw Bar (get the shrimp and DO NOT sleep on the carolina gold rice) | mini Cherry Coke and Zesty Yuzu chips | candy stripe beets, roasted via Frecker Farms | Chinese feast of chicken with mushrooms and sesame beef after a visit to a local Buddhist temple
